Preparing Your Workstation

To ensure comfort and hygiene while working, make sure that:

• Your workspace is clean, disinfected, and well-lit.
• All tools (nail drill, files, brushes, cuticle pusher) are sterilized and ready for use.
• Protective gloves are worn to maintain hygiene and safety.

Preparing the Nails

1. Cuticle removal – If you have a nail drill, use the appropriate bit to gently remove cuticles. If not, push them back with a cuticle pusher, avoiding deep cuts.
2. Buffing the nail plate – Using a 180/240 grit file or a buffer block, remove the shine from the nail surface, focusing on the sidewalls and cuticle area.
3. Cleaning – Use a brush to remove dust, then apply Nail Prep to dehydrate and cleanse the nail plate. Avoid touching the nails after application to prevent contamination.

Applying Gel Polish

1. Primer – Apply a thin layer of Acid Primer, No Acid Primer, or Ultra Bond Extra Strong to enhance adhesion. Wait about 15 seconds for it to dry.
2. Base coat – Apply Smart Base Crystal Clear, distribute evenly, and cure in a lamp (UV: 2 minutes, LED: 30 seconds).
3. Color application – Apply the first layer of gel polish evenly and cure in a lamp (UV: 2 minutes, LED: 30-60 seconds). Repeat the application for full coverage.
4. Top coat – Secure the manicure with one of our top coats and cure in a lamp. If using a tacky top coat, wipe the nails with a lint-free wipe soaked in cleaner for a flawless shine.

Finishing Touches

• Cuticle care – Apply cuticle oil or a mask to hydrate and nourish the surrounding skin.
• Enhancing the shine – Gently wipe the nails with a cosmetic pad to highlight the final effect.

Removing Gel Polish

1. Drilling off – If you need to remove your gel polish, use a drill bit designed for gel removal. Carefully work over the nail until all the polish is removed.
2. Filing – After drilling, use a 180/240 grit file to remove any remaining product and prepare the nails for a new application.
